Home-Start Stroud & Dursley is supported by the national organisation in terms of its policies and practices but as a scheme we are totally reliant on the goodwill of funders to finance the local scheme.

All our trustees and volunteers work tirelessly to support families and to organise the scheme and only receive reimbursement for out of pocket expenses. In order to operate a professional service on a parr with other service organisations the scheme incurrs similar business costs for overheads like office accomodation and qualified staff.

Annually, the scheme's expendiure is approximately £86,000. The cost of supporting a family for one year equates to approximately £1,000 .

All donations are gratefully received whether they are from a trust fund organisation or an individual. All donations can be Gift Aided if the donator is a tax payer.

Lifetime Membership of Home-Start Stroud & Dursley is open to interested parties on payment of a one off donation of £5 or more.
